Yokohama

Our friend Nana who's Japanese but lives in Atlanta and is currently attending Mercer's nursing school told us to meet her friends in Yokohama before we left Tokyo. We were very happy to make their acquaintance because they were very nice and hospitable.

They took us to Landmark Tower for Sado which is a formal, traditional tea ceremony. The practice is formally taught and the host presents the guest with sugary sweets in anticipation of the bitter matcha which is a fine, powdered green tea.




We also visited these enormous ferris wheels right next to the tower but did not have the time to ride them.

Yokohama was a blast. I really wanted to ride the Ferris wheel, but we just didn't have time. It was very cool looking, though.
